WIP; My baby cousin Richie-

So I've been hard at work, with just some like... traditional stuff. Lots of pencil drawings, shading, all that jazz = v= / It's fun! Don't get me wrong, but I seriously miss anime so much. I feel like, once you want to take art seriously, you just have to throw away all that you learned with cartoonish/anime styles. I mean, the eyes, nose, mouth, proportions, poses, bodies etc;
I love it! But... I've had to completely give it up with anime, trying to create my own style that will be acceptable for a portfolio. Easier said than done, seriously. I'm very thankful though, since I think it's really helping me with my ability to shade and draw faces more to scale- whatever scale they be ; 3 ;

Christmas was a lot of fun! I was this big crying baby when everyone said goodbye. I feel like a really lucky person- that I'm this close with my family. More so my Italian side, as we feasted and my great grandmother seemed really happy that we were all there! She made amazing wedding soup and I felt bad I wasn't able to eat more *was so stuffed ~*

Then we did Perogies with my grandmothers side, and I ended up hanging out with my 8 year old cousin Emma <3 it's like, no secret, she's my favorite cousin XD She's so cute! And she just like- sticks to me like glue. She tells me she's been looking at my art and wants to add me on facebook and then she asks me to draw her.

I was like sobbing at her cuteness- She just sits there going "Are you done? Can I move my head?" I didn't really need her to sit still for a simple headshot.. But she must have saw it from a movie or something and just sat infront of me for like 20 minutes. We already made a date, that she'll come to the city and I'll take her to the American Girl store and do one of the tea parties~! I'm actually way excited since when I was her age, I did the same thing ; 3 ;
So anyways!!! I've just thrown my art around this page like usual... I'm waiting for my damn check to cash, so I can send out my Christmas cards to my friends. I'm also trying to think of some things I can draw to help out my new dA, more for my anime artwork. thought it best to keep it separate ~

Oh some art things I'm working on! I'd really like to create a design with Baggie-chan so I can put it on an iphone cover and then have a cute personal Iphone case ; v ; And then one for adventure Time and maybe Hetalia.. I'll have to figure it out * v *
